So what is the difference between diamonds and cubic zirconia? Why is cubic zirconia (CZ) quickly becoming more popular as a desirable substitute for diamond? Gemologists can agree that CZ is closer than any other gem material to matching the characteristics of a diamond.
Most people, gemologist, well trained, can make the difference between diamonds and CZ, the naked eye. In addition, to the untrained eye, looks like a CZ diamond of good quality. However, Under closer inspection, CZ appears to have slightly less bright (or Sparkle) of a diamond, and more fire or flashes of color.
CZS were originally developed by the Russians for their space program. They were developed as an alternative to diamonds that have been used in optical their lasers. CZS have a refractive index, dispersion and hardness so close to a diamond is really strange.
What are the main characteristics that can guide you to tell the difference between diamonds and CZ? Do keep in mind, however, to accurately distinguish between two stones valuable equipment such as gemology microscope or loupe, must be used for testing and verification.
To begin, let look at the hardness factor: Did you know CZ ranges between 8.5 to 9.0 on the Mohs hardness scale, while the diamond, a material the hardest known to man is rated 10, which located at the top of the hardness scale?
Moreover, (glass or sand) is estimated at about 5 to 6 on the hardness scale, therefore, dust and dirt does not scratch CZ. Indeed, CZ can scratch glass just like diamonds regular, making it more resistant to chipping.
A major difference between diamond and CZ is weight. CZS are heavy compared diamonds; a CZ will weigh approximately 1.75 times higher than a diamond of equivalent size. So basically, a piece of CZ the same size as a diamond carat weighs about 1.75 carats. Well … Is not it interesting?
Contemporary production of CZ is virtually flawless, whereas diamond usually contains impurities and inclusions, or have some sort of defect, be it a feather, included crystal, or perhaps a vestige of an original crystal face (eg trine).
Regarding color, more precisely, the lack of color most unusual for diamonds are truly colorless, as most have a tinge of yellow or brown to some extent. By comparison, CZ in most cases can be fully colorless, equivalent to a perfect "D" on the scale for grading diamond color.
Also, under close inspection with a loupe, the facet shapes of some CZS appear different from diamonds. Both gems disperse light a little differently. Dispersion is just a scientific term to break up light into spectral colors. With a power greater dispersion than diamond (0.060 vs. 0.044), the more prismatic fire of CZ can be seen even in an untrained eye.
Dispersion occurs based on the refractive index of the stone. In this case, the refractive index indicates just how much a beam of light bends, based on the direction in which it moves as it passes between two materials of different densities optical (such as between diamond and air or between CZ and air). Being that CZ has a refractive index of 2176, cons 2417 diamond, diamonds are said to be brighter than CZ.
Another difference between the two gems is that CZS are thermal insulators-meaning, they reduce the rate of heat transfer diamonds, while drivers are among the most effective heat-meaning, they allow heat to pass easily through them. Without testing the conductivity of heat gems, it can be difficult to distinguish.
Remember, this is a proposal for 50/50 to identify a gem by inspection visual, not a scientific method of authentication. This is why even certified graduate gemologists use gemological equipment testing and verification.
You'll also be pleased to learn that CZS are not only durable and inexpensive, but just like diamonds, they come in all colors of the rainbow, making them even more desirable.
There have been many cases to see if jewelers can make the difference between diamond and zircon, while examining the gems with the naked eye. Time and again, it was inconclusive; jewelers could not tell the difference just by looking at the gems. Thus, you can now understand why the difference between diamonds and cubic zirconia rests in the price and in the spirit …

Pedals do not work with different types of amps?
I have a Roland Cube amp, and I plan on getting pedals for her. I do not want to lose my money and know they do not work. (The pedals are not made by Roland) What should I do? Do I find a Roland pedal or pedals will work for different companies?
If it's a guitar pedal, it will work with a guitar and any amplifier.

Donnie sacrifices himself at the end of the film because he knew that his relatives (Gretchen, for example) will die, and how much destruction, it will, if he saves the life of the jet engine. He knew that the jet engine was coming, and he was the living receiver, therefore, he knew the future (the thingy Travel time tube). Thats why when he has anyone disorder in his school, he was not captured. Moreover, the tangent universe was leaking. He alone, as a living receiver can save the world with the help of manipulators. And as you can see, Gretchen was struck by a car, right? And he shot Frank as he was angry Frank's car hit Gretchen. He lost his family. He killed an innocent. Therefore, in the end, he decided to sacrifice himself, even if he was afraid of dying alone. But for the love of his life, and the nation of man (yeah, leaks tangent universe, people die) and not to mention that Frank will die if Donnie save this reactor (as when he collided with his car Gretchen, Donnie shot him ..) he would rather die. So, in conclusion, I think the theme more fear, love and sacrifice. Ah, sorry for the long post. Because since you said you do not understand the film, I thought I should explain a little for you.:)
